McIntyre initially expressed hesitation when asked to meet a fan who had won a raffle, given the ongoing narrative of his character being a more complex, 'middle guy' compared to the clear-cut 'good guy' Cody Rhodes. However, the fan insisted, stating that everyone wanted to see McIntyre. Upon meeting, the fan's strong feelings manifested as he lunged at McIntyre, exclaiming, 'That's Cody's title!' and even swinging at him. Security intervened swiftly to de-escalate the situation.
